Support for single mothers
when I became a single mother I had to heavily rely on resources out their in the community until I got on my feet, now do not get my wrong. on occasion I still rely on a resource that I qualify for.
Resourses for single mothers
1. call 211 they can help you with housing and applying for housing, now housing doesn't happen overnight, wait lists can be years long but its better to get on it ASAP. also they can help you find local food pantries.
2. Local Human services, they can provide you with help for food as in food stamps and health insurance as well as childcare for low income mother. now be careful with the TANF program know as cash assistance. in my state if you sing up for Cash assistance they will take any back child support owed to you even if the back child support exceeds what you ever received in cash assistance.
3. Look into joining a local single mom group, other mothers may have more knowledge and resourses that you could qualify for.
Remember to never give up and just keep trying, things and your situation can always get better
